Get ready to haunt the Minecraft™ world with the creepily cool LEGO® Phantom Minifigure from the LEGO Minecraft™ set 21173 "The Sky Tower"!
So what is a Minecraft Phantom?
Well, let me tell you about the Minecraft Phantom.. It's a spooky, ghostly creature that haunts the Overworld and loves nothing more than swooping down to attack unsuspecting players who haven't caught enough zzz's. You could say it's the ultimate alarm clock - forget waking up to a gentle melody or the soothing sound of waves, the Phantom will make sure you're up and at 'em with its Insomnia-inducing attacks.
But seriously, this is one tough enemy to defeat. It's up there in the sky, flying around like it owns the place, and you're down on the ground like a chump trying to hit it with a sword. It's like trying to swat a fly with a toothpick. Thankfully, ranged attacks can take it down, lucky for you we also sell Bow and arrows, so grab your trusty bow and arrow and show that Phantom who's boss!
What is it to me I hear you say?
We know you never could resist a good challenge, so better listen to some more interesting facts. Did you know that Phantoms have a sweet tooth? Yup, they just can't resist the sugary goodness of pumpkin pie. I guess even spectral beings need a little dessert every now and then.
But if you think you can outsmart a Phantom with some pumpkin pie, think again. These flying ghosts are actually quite intelligent, and can detect when a player is holding food or wearing armor. I don't know how they do it - maybe they have some sort of supernatural sense - but it's pretty impressive for a creature made out of pixels.
And if you thought Phantoms were only a threat in the Overworld, think again. These pesky ghosts can actually follow players into the End, where they'll continue their relentless attacks. So if you're planning on taking on the Ender Dragon, you'd better make sure you're well-rested and ready to face some Phantom fury.
But despite all their spooky qualities, Phantoms are still just creatures in a video game. In fact, some players have compared them to bats, while others have called them "flying pillows." I guess it all depends on your perspective - and whether or not you've been attacked by one in the middle of the night.
Did you know that Phantoms used to be called "Mob C" during development? I guess they didn't want to give away the surprise of their ghostly appearance until the game was ready to release. But I bet those developers had some spooky dreams while they were working on them!
And speaking of spooky dreams, did you know that Phantoms are actually afraid of cats? Yup, those furry little creatures will send Phantoms running in the opposite direction. I guess even supernatural beings have their weaknesses!
But don't let their fear of cats fool you - Phantoms are still one tough customer to take down. In fact, their swooping attacks can be so relentless that players have compared them to angry seagulls. I don't know about you, but I'd take a beach full of seagulls over a swarm of Phantoms any day!
And if you're thinking about trying to tame a Phantom as your own personal ghostly pet, I've got bad news for you. Phantoms can't be tamed or befriended like some of the other creatures in Minecraft. I guess you'll just have to settle for collecting their cute little minifigure versions instead!
In the LEGO Minecraft set 21173, the Phantom is just as mischievous and ghostly as ever, but now you can collect it as a cute little minifigure. So if you're looking for a little supernatural fun in your Minecraft adventures, the Phantom is the perfect addition to your collection. Just don't forget to get some sleep first!
